Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met with Steve Lutes, Vice President of Middle East Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and President of the U.S.-Iraq Business Council, to discuss Iraq-U.S. commercial relations.

The talks focused on preparations for a forum of U.S. company representatives in Iraq and the progress on implementing the agreements signed during the Prime Minister's visit to the U.S. last year.

The Prime Minister highlighted economic reforms, digital transformation, and advancements in trade and banking, including steps to legislate intellectual property rights and integrate them into educational curricula. He emphasised Iraq's improved investment environment and invited U.S. companies to engage in the country's development efforts.

Mr. Lutes commended Iraq's reform initiatives, noting increased interest from U.S. companies in entering the Iraqi market and partnering with the local private sector to drive economic and commercial growth.
