Based on a letter from the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), and following its technical and legal assessment, the Council of Ministers has voted to hold Iraq's parliamentary elections on 11th November 2025.
Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani emphasised the government's commitment to supporting the electoral process by ensuring all necessary preparations are in place.
He also underscored the importance of providing a secure environment to enable the successful conduct of this key democratic event.
