KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has welcomed Irfan Siddiq, the newly appointed British Ambassador to Iraq.
PM Barzani congratulated Ambassador Siddiq on his new post and reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to strengthening ties with the United Kingdom.
The Ambassador praised the Kurdistan Region's progress and confirmed Britain's readiness to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.

Today [Tuesday 22nd April], Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomed Irfan Siddiq, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq.
Prime Minister Barzani congratulated Ambassador Siddiq on his new role and wished him success in his mission. He reaffirmed the KRG's full support for strengthening bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the U.K.
Ambassador Siddiq highlighted the notable progress the Kurdistan Region has made in recent years and reiterated his country's readiness to expand ties with the region across all sectors.
They emphasized the importance of resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, respecting the Iraqi federal system and the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region, and resuming oil exports as soon as possible.
They also discussed preparations for Iraq's upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled for November this year.
