Iraq Stock Exchange

  • The Iraqi Securities Commission, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, announced the launch of a new electronic service for registering information about joint-stock and brokerage companies through the Republic of Iraq's government services portal, "Ur." (ISC)
  • A cross transaction occurred on 1.9 bn shares of Asia Al Iraq Islamic Bank (BAIB) on May 20, valued at IQD1.7 bn and corresponding to 0.8% of BAIB's capital.
  • The ISC has approved the request of National Bank of Iraq (BNOI) to have an extension period to add the new shares from the capital increase through a 30.0% bonus issue to IQD520.0 bn until Jun. 15, 2025.
  • The ISC has approved the request of Gulf Commercial Bank (BGUC) to have a four-month extension period to add the new shares from the capital increase through a 16.67% rights issue to IQD350.0 bn starting from May 7, 2025.

Stocks that resumed / will resume trading:

  • Original shares of Iraqi Islamic Bank (BIIB) resumed trading on May 20 after holding its AGM on May 10 in which they discussed and approved 2024 annual financial statements, increasing the paid-in capital from IQD325.0 bn to IQD400.0 bn through a 12.31% rights issue (56/fourth; increasing the capital by IQD40 bn by issuing shares in favor of Safwa Islamic Bank (Jordan)) and a 10.77% bonus issue, and electing two original and nine alternative board members.
  • Al-Ameen Financial Investment (VAMF) resumed trading on May 20 after holding its AGM on May 18 in which they discussed and approved 2024 annual financial statements.
  • International Development Bank (BIDB) resumed trading on May 21 after holding its AGM on May 15, in which they discussed and approved 2024 annual financial statements, electing seven original and seven alternative board members, and decided to distribute IQD0.125 cash dividend per share, corresponding to a 12.5% dividend yield.

Stocks that were suspended / will be suspended from trading:

  • ISX suspended trading of Asiacell (TASC) starting May 20 due to the AGM that will be held on May 24 to discuss and approve the 2024 annual financial statements and dividend distribution.
  • ISX suspended trading of Commercial Islamic Bank of Iraq (BCOI) starting May 20 due to the AGM that will be held on May 24 to discuss and approve the 2024 annual financial statements, dividend distribution, and increasing the paid-in capital from IQD292.5 bn to IQD327.6 bn through a 12% bonus issue.
  • ISX suspended trading of Gulf Commercial Bank (BGUC) starting May 20 due to the AGM that will be held on May 23 to discuss and approve the 2024 annual financial statements and the agreement prepared between BGUC and the Arab Jordan Investment Bank, which includes providing administrative consulting.
  • ISX will suspend trading of Al-Ameen Insurance (NAME) starting Jun. 19 due to the AGM that will be held on Jun. 24 to discuss and approve the 2023 annual financial statements, dividend distribution, and electing five original and five alternative board members.
