The UK's Department for Business and Trade has said that total trade in goods and services (exports plus imports) between the UK and Iraq was £1.1 billion in the four quarters to the end of Q4 2024, an increase of 3.9% or £43 million in current prices from the four quarters to the end of Q4 2023.
Of this £1.1 billion:
- Total UK exports to Iraq amounted to £898 million in the four quarters to the end of Q4 2024 (an increase of 7.8% or £65 million in current prices, compared to the four quarters to the end of Q4 2023);
- Total UK imports from Iraq amounted to £247 million in the four quarters to the end of Q4 2024 (a decrease of 8.2% or £22 million in current prices, compared to the four quarters to the end of Q4 2023).
Iraq was the UK's 85th largest trading partner in the four quarters to the end of Q4 2024 accounting for 0.1% of total UK trade.
