New Wastewater Treatment Projects in Najaf

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has inaugurated the second phase of the wastewater treatment plant in Najaf, which now provides an additional 100,000 cubic metres per day of treatment capacity.

He also launched implementation works for the Al-Nidaa district sewage project and the third phase of the Najaf treatment plant, which will add 100,000 cubic metres per day in capacity.

During his visit on Wednesday, the Prime Minister commended the efforts of those working on public service projects in the province and reaffirmed the government's commitment to infrastructure development in Najaf, given its religious and historical significance and the millions of visitors it receives annually.

The Al-Nidaa project includes civil, mechanical, and electrical works for a pumping station, in addition to the construction of wastewater and stormwater pipelines and networks.
