The Oil Exploration Company (OEC) has completed the 2D seismic survey of South Fakka in Maysan [Missan] province.
During a visit on Sunday to the Fifth Amphibious Seismic Team, OEC Director General Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein praised the national workforce for delivering what he described as a milestone achievement that reflects the high level of skill, determination, and professionalism of the company's Iraqi personnel.
He noted that the successful completion of this programme enhances confidence in local capabilities and opens the door to further strategic projects that strengthen the infrastructure of Iraq's energy sector.
The programme was carried out by the Fifth Amphibious Seismic Team from the Field Operations Directorate, despite environmental challenges in the area. The survey covered a total area of 1,104.75 kilometres and recorded 20,530 energy points.
