Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani met with a Kuwaiti delegation this week to discuss the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on joint border oil fields between Iraq and Kuwait.
The delegation was led by Khaled Walid Al-Daiyen, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Oil of Kuwait, along with other senior officials from Kuwait's Ministry of Oil, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Kuwait Oil Company.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the investment and development of joint oil fields. Minister Al-Suad emphasized Iraq's commitment to strengthening relations with Kuwait to maximize the economic and oil benefits for both countries.
He highlighted the significant progress made in reaching agreements on the joint fields and reiterated Iraq's determination to develop these resources, particularly gas, to supply fuel for power generation plants.
The meeting also saw expressions of mutual appreciation and a shared commitment to continuous dialogue and positive cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
