Electronic Admission for Iraqi Colleges of Excellence and AI

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of electronic applications for the College of Excellence and the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Applicants must be graduates of the 2024-2025 preparatory school year, born in 2001 or later, with a minimum average grade of 85%. Admission is also subject to passing both an English language test and a personal interview.

Key details include:

  • Graduates from both scientific and literary branches may apply to the College of Excellence. Scientific branch students may apply to all departments, while literary branch students are limited to Business Administration and E-Commerce, Accounting and Banking, and Philosophy and Sociology.
  • The College of Artificial Intelligence is open only to scientific branch graduates, who may apply to departments of Engineering Applications, Biomedical Applications, and Big Data.
  • First-round graduates are eligible to apply to both colleges. If seats remain unfilled, they will be allocated to second-round graduates according to departmental minimum requirements.
  • Scientific branch graduates may choose at least two departments when applying to the College of Artificial Intelligence and at least three when applying to the College of Excellence, with the option to rank preferences across both colleges.
  • Literary branch graduates applying to the College of Excellence must select at least two departments.
