Iraq Development Fund signs MoUs with Four Major Countries

By John Lee.

The Iraq Development Fund has reportedly signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with four major countries to advance development cooperation and investment.

Executive Director Mohammed al-Najjar told state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the Fund has signed three MoUs with France, two with the United Kingdom, and two with the United States, in addition to ongoing collaboration with Japan, which he described as a key partner providing "billions in assistance" to Iraq since the 1980s.

Al-Najjar noted that the French agreements will include projects for water supply and wastewater recycling for irrigation, as well as water treatment initiatives for the Shatt al-Arab. He added that these projects are ready for implementation and will be signed soon.
