Under the patronage and presence of Mr. Ali Mohsen Al-Allaq, Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), the bank signed a cooperation agreement with the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), Bahrain Branch, at the CBI headquarters in Baghdad.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ali Ferdan, Chief Executive Officer of NBK-Bahrain, accompanied by Deputy Head of Treasury Mr. Mohammed Mumin and other delegation members. The agreement was signed on behalf of the CBI by Dr. Mohammed Younis Abu Raghif, Director General of Investments.
Governor Al-Allaq welcomed the visiting delegation, highlighting the deep and longstanding ties between the peoples of Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain. He expressed his appreciation for their efforts and commitment to fostering regional financial cooperation.
Mr. Ferdan affirmed his bank's intention to strengthen collaboration with the Central Bank of Iraq in areas including financial transfers, electronic payments, and training on modern banking best practices and statistical data exchange. He also extended an invitation to the Governor to visit the NBK headquarters in Bahrain.
