HKN discusses Hamrin Oil Field Development

Discussions have taken place regarding the investment and development of the Hamrin oil field, focusing on technical, economic, and contractual aspects of the project.

The meeting was held on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at the headquarters of North Oil Company (NOC), with the participation of a delegation from HKN of the United States.

According to the company, the talks covered:

  • Technical and economic details of the project within the licensing rounds framework
  • Plans to increase production levels and optimise utilisation of oil resources
  • Development of oil reservoirs and rehabilitation of surface facilities
  • Improvements to production systems and proposed implementation timelines
  • Economic and contractual arrangements to ensure efficiency and sustainability

The discussions form part of ongoing technical and coordination meetings aimed at advancing the Hamrin oil field project and strengthening cooperation with international oil companies.
