Iraq Securities Comm 1st Govt Body to Adopt Electronic Signatures

By John Lee.

The Iraq Securities Commission (ISC) has become the first government body in Iraq to complete registration in the national electronic signature certification system, marking a significant step in the country's digital transformation agenda.

The commission's chairman stated that the move aligns with government efforts to develop public services and strengthen electronic governance, with the aim of improving institutional performance and raising standards of transparency and accuracy in processing transactions.

The adoption of electronic signatures is expected to facilitate the completion of official transactions both within and outside the commission, support a digital working environment, and enhance investor confidence in the financial market.
