Internet speeds for subscribers on fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks are to be increased by 20% at no additional cost, following an agreement reached between the ministry and private-sector operators.
Communications Minister Mustafa Jabbar Sanad convened an expanded meeting with senior ministry staff, the General Company for Telecommunications and Informatics, and representatives of private-sector companies executing FTTH projects, to discuss service development and quality improvements across Iraqi cities and provinces.

- IQ
According to the Iraqi Ministry of Communications, all companies accepted the minister's proposal to raise internet speeds by 20% without increasing subscription prices.
The ministry said the move would enable FTTH operators to deliver higher-quality services meeting the needs of subscribers across the country.
