Plans to automate Iraq's ration card system were discussed at a meeting between the Ministry of Trade and two technology companies.
Iraq's Minister of Trade, Mustafa Nizar Jumaa, visited the General Company for Food Commodities Trading, where he met representatives of the National Company for Information Technology and Rabt Al-Najm, alongside senior ministry staff.
The discussions covered the technical steps required to accelerate digital transformation of the ration card system, with the aim of simplifying procedures, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing data accuracy and processing speed for citizens.
Jumaa emphasised the importance of coordination between ministry departments and specialist technology firms, and the adoption of modern digital solutions in line with the government's e-transformation objectives.
