Ahmed Hussein Khafaji has presented a copy of his credentials as Egypt's new ambassador to Iraq.
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received him at the Ministry's headquarters in Baghdad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, both sides affirmed the strength of bilateral relations and expressed a commitment to developing cooperation between the two countries.
Egyptian companies with an active interest in Iraq include Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), Edita Food Industries and the Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC).
