Iraq and Uzbekistan have held a virtual meeting to discuss a draft bilateral agreement on the regulation of road transport of passengers and goods. According to the Ministry of Transport, the session was convened by the General Company for Land Transport, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Murtada al-Shahmani, director of the General Company for Land Transport, said the meeting covered the draft text prepared by the Iraqi side, with the company's participation covering the freight transport component.
Representatives from the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Justice also attended, alongside officials from several departments within the Ministry of Transport.
Al-Shahmani said coordination between the two sides would continue in the coming period to finalise the agreement text.
