Speaking to journalists after the opening ceremony, President Barzani welcomed the improved political climate between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, expressing hope that it would lead to positive outcomes. He stated that all Peshmerga forces had been integrated within the framework of the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs, and that a formal announcement would be made in the coming days.
