The Chairman of the Committee for future projects in the governorate of Karbala, Hani Abboud, said in a statement to the press section of the National Media Center that the project to build an oil storage facility in Karbala [Kerbala] will be completed by March 2012.
He said the project is being built on a land area of 400 dunums [100 hectares], and at a cost of more than 40 billion dinars [$33 million].
The project consists of several tanks to store gasoline and kerosine, in addition to 14 buildings include administration, laboratories, control rooms and computer rooms and security.
