Name: Khliesiea (also known as Al-Khaleesa)
Controlled by: Ministry of Oil (Baghdad).
Location: This block stretches across the Nineveh and Al-Anbar governorates by the Iraq-Syria border. The Block area is about 7,300 km², according to the Petroluem Contracts and Licensing Directorate (PCLD); on announcement of the results of the licensing round, the Ministry of Oil said it has an area of about 8,167 square kilometers.
Discovery: One well (Waadiya Ghaziyeh) has been drilled in this block. Gas potential.
