Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a meeting on Sunday with the committee tasked with lifting the European Union (EU) ban on Iraqi Airways.
The committee reviewed the steps taken to meet the ban's requirements, efforts to automate all aspects of the airline's operations, aircraft maintenance, staff training, and service improvements to enhance the airline's status as a modern representation of Iraq.
Al-Sudani emphasized the need to swiftly meet the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and to keep pace with global advancements in passenger and cargo air transport. He called for adhering to specific timelines to achieve these targets.
