The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has introduced eight new public transport routes in Baghdad, aimed at serving students at Al-Bayan University.
The initiative, launched by Minister Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, aligns with the start of the academic year and includes routes covering key areas of the capital.
- Line 1 (Adan Square - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Adan Square - Al-Adl district - Al-Ghazaliya - Al-Ameriya - Al-Bayan University
- Line 2 (Bab Al-Sharqi - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Bab Al-Sharqi - Al-Alawi - Al-Harithiya - Al-Nusoor - Airport Road - Al-Bayan University
- Line 3 (Al-Bayaa - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Al-Bayaa - Al-Hussein district - Airport Road - Al-Bayan University
- Line 4 (Al-Saydiya - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Al-Saydiya - Al-Hussein district - Airport Road - Al-Bayan University
- Line 5 (Al-Jadriya - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Al-Jadriya - Al-Farahidi underpass - Airport Highway - Al-Bayan University
- Line 6 (Al-Ghazaliya - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Al-Ghazaliya - Al-Ameriya - Al-Bayan University
- Line 7 (Al-Nida Mosque - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Al-Nida Mosque - Al-Mashtal Street - 14th of Ramadan Bridge - Al-Iskan - Al-Mansur - Al-Ameriya - Al-Bayan University
- Line 8 (Dora Expressway - Al-Bayan University)
- Route: Dora Expressway - Darwish Intersection - Al-Bayaa - Airport Highway - Al-Bayan University
The project is part of broader efforts to reduce traffic congestion and improve public transportation for students and low-income residents. Additionally, new modern bus shelters are being installed across the city.
