Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of the new Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, Christopher David Pym, on Tuesday [15th October, 2024].
The Minister welcomed Ambassador Pym, underlining the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need to strengthen and develop them across various fields, especially in the economic and commercial sectors. In addition to, Minister Hussein stressed Iraq's keenness to advance mutual cooperation for the interests of both countries.
Ambassador Pym affirmed his commitment to continue supporting the distinguished relations between Iraq and Canada, and work to develop them.
At the end of the meeting Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized the Foreign Ministry's readiness to provide all necessary facilities to support the Ambassador's tasks and ensure his success in performing his new duties .
