Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani has presided over a meeting with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to follow up on the Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) development project.
The meeting discussed the steps taken by the IFC to attract investors and specialized airport management companies, which have now reached 14 companies.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the project's model offers many advantages that have made it a standard for successful airports in the region. He directed that the rehabilitation and development efforts must adhere to the latest specifications and standards set by international airport organizations.
The project aims to achieve two key objectives: Increasing profits and revenues and improving the quality of services provided to the passengers.
