Iraq, Syria set to resume trade with new joint border crossing
Hassan Sheikh, chairman of the Iraqi-Syrian Commerce Council, confirmed that Iraq has finalized its preparations and requested Syria to implement the necessary border infrastructure to prevent the entry of smuggled goods.
