- In a new international recognition that reflects his outstanding efforts in developing the securities sector, Faisal Al-Haimus, Chairman of the Iraqi Securities Commission (ISC), was awarded in "Leadership and excellence in consolidating investor protection and enhancing financial market transparency in Iraq by 2025" by the World Union of Arab Bankers. The award recognizes his leadership efforts in enhancing the investment environment, supporting the principles of disclosure and governance, and fostering a culture of transparency in the Iraqi financial market. (ISC)
- The Head of the Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Mohammed Redha Al-Husseini, received Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus, Chairman of the ISC, and his accompanying delegation at the Iraqi Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon. The visit was part of an official visit aimed at enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of investment and financial markets. (ISC)
- The ISC has approved the request of Al Taif Islamic Bank (BTIB) to have a two-month extension period to add the new shares from the capital increase through a 2.0% rights issue to IQD255.1 bn starting from Jul. 13, 2025.
- The location of the headquarters of Iraqi Agricultural Products (AIRP) has changed, moving to the new building which is located in Al-Mansour, Al-Amirat Street Branches, Block 609, Alley 4, House 4.
Stocks that resumed / will resume trading:
- New shares of Al Masherq Al-Arabi Islamic Bank (BAMS) from the capital increase to IQD293.5 bn through a 17.4% bonus issue resumed trading on Jul. 20.
- Mamoura Real-estate Investment (SMRI) will resume trading on Jul. 27 after holding its AGM on Jul. 21 in which they discussed and approved 2024 annual financial statements and decided to distribute IQD0.04 cash dividend per share, corresponding to a 0.9% dividend yield. The opening price will be IQD4.280 per share.
Stocks that were suspended / will be suspended from trading:
- ISX suspended trading of Al-Mansour Pharmaceuticals Industries (IMAP) starting Jul. 21 due to the AGM that will be held on Jul. 24 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements and investment contracts.
- ISX suspended trading of National Company for Tourism Investment (HNTI) starting Jul. 22 due to the AGM that will be held on Jul. 27 to discuss and approve the 2023 annual financial statements, dividend distribution, and elect four original and four alternative board members.
- ISX will suspend trading of Kurdistan International Islamic Bank (BKUI), Arabia Islamic Bank (BAAI), Al-Ameen Insurance (NAME), and AL-Wiaam for Financial Investment (VWIF) starting Jul. 27 for not submitting 3M25 interim financial statements.
- ISX will suspend trading of Babylon Hotel (HBAY) starting Aug. 4 due to the AGM that will be held on Aug. 7 to discuss and approve 2023 annual financial statements, distributing IQD3.0 cash dividend per share, and electing five original and five alternative board members.
- ISX will suspend trading of Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance (NGIR) starting Aug. 5 due to the AGM that will be held on Aug. 8 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements.
- ISX will suspend trading of Modern Chemical Industries (IMCI) starting Aug. 17 due to the AGM that will be held on Aug. 20 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements.
- ISX will suspend trading of AHliya For Insurance (NAHF) starting Aug. 31 due to the AGM that will be held on Sep. 3 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements, dividend distribution, and electing three reserve members.
