Iraq Mourns Former NIC Chairman Dr. Sami al-Araji

The National Investment Commission (NIC), led by Dr. Haider Mohammed Makiya, has expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Dr. Sami Raouf al-Araji, the former Chairman of the Commission.

In an official statement, the NIC extended its heartfelt condolences to Dr. al-Araji's family, friends, and colleagues, remembering his distinguished professional journey and unwavering dedication to the advancement of Iraq's investment landscape.

It said Dr. al-Araji was recognised for his integrity, competence, and tireless service, and played a key role in fostering a more attractive environment for investors in Iraq.

The Commission prayed for divine mercy upon his soul and strength for his loved ones during this difficult time.

Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani offered condolences on Dr al-Araji's death, describing him as a national figure who was an example of giving in all the roles he held.
