  • The Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA) has published the "Smart Investor" guide, prepared by working groups from Arab securities authorities, with the participation of the Iraqi team, as part of initiatives focused on investor education and awareness and promoting financial inclusion. The guide aims to enhance financial awareness among Arab investors and solidify the concepts of informed and responsible investment. (To view the guide, please click here) (ISC)
  • The ISC has approved the request of Credit Bank of Iraq (BROI) to have a four-month extension period to add the new shares from the capital increase through a 16.61% rights issue and 8.44% bonus issue to IQD400.0 bn starting from Nov. 1, 2025.
  • Babil Animal & Vegetable Production (ABAP) fulfilled ISX's request to explain why the prices touched the lower limit on Oct. 23 and Oct. 28. The company disclosed that no fundamental events affected the price of shares and that its financial position is at its best, noting that most of their company's feed factories are offered for investment, and that the company's management is making efforts to reach an agreement with the private sector to invest in the company's sites.

Stocks that resumed / will resume trading:

  • New shares of Modern Sewing (IMOS) from the capital increase to IQD4.0 bn through a 100% bonus issue resumed trading on Nov. 3.
  • New shares of Al-Ameen Insurance (NAME) from the capital increase to IQD6.25 bn through a 25.0% bonus issue resumed trading on Nov. 6.
  • Bank of Baghdad (BBOB) will resume trading on Nov. 9 after holding its AGM on Nov. 3 in which they discussed and approved electing four original and nine alternative board members and choosing the continuation path as it complies with all the conditions and instructions stipulated in the undertaking related to the Banking Reform Initiative.

Stocks that were suspended / will be suspended from trading:

  • ISX suspended trading of Investment Bank of Iraq (BIBI) starting Nov. 4 due to the AGM that will be held on Nov. 7 to discuss and approve participating in the banking reform initiative within the framework of continuity.
  • ISX suspended trading of United Bank (BUND) starting Nov. 5 for not submitting its 2024 annual financial statements.
  • ISX suspended trading of Babil Animal & Vegetable Production (ABAP) starting Nov. 5 because the company did not respond to the disclosure letter sent by the market to disclose the fundamental events regarding why the prices touched the lower limit on Nov. 3 and Nov. 4.
  • ISX suspended trading of Al-Qurtas Islamic Bank (BQUR), Middle East Producing & Marketing - Fish (AMEF), and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance (NGIR) starting Nov. 6 for not submitting 2025 quarterly financial statements.
  • ISX will suspend trading of Al Sanam Islamic Bank (BSAN) (OTC) starting Nov. 16 due to the AGM that will be held on Nov. 16 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements, dividend distribution, increasing the paid-in capital from IQD350.0 bn to IQD375.0 bn through a 7.14% rights issue, and electing nine original and nine alternative board members. The company will resume trading on Nov. 17.
  • ISX will suspend trading of Baghdad-Iraq Comp. for Public Trans. & Real Est. Inv. (SBPT) starting Nov. 19 due to the AGM that will be held on Nov. 24 to discuss and approve 2024 annual financial statements and dividend distribution.
  • ISX will suspend trading of Iraqi Islamic Bank (BIIB) starting Nov. 24 due to the AGM that will be held on Nov. 27 to discuss and approve the choice of continuing the bank's operations under the same current legal license while meeting the reform standards within the draft reform plan for the banking sector.
  • ISX will suspend trading of International Islamic Bank (BINT) starting Nov. 26 due to the AGM that will be held on Dec. 1 to discuss and approve choosing a merger path with another Iraqi bank in accordance with the regulations and the Banking Union & Merger Document and the banking reform document issued by the CBI.
