The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has said major progress has been made in modernising the Region's water infrastructure.
Nine dams have been completed at a total cost of about IQD 266 billion [$203 million], providing a combined storage capacity of around 253 million cubic metres of water.
The KRG has also completed 23 ponds, with construction underway on an additional 58.
