By John Lee.

Jetcraft Commercial has delivered two Bombardier CRJ-1000 regional jets to the newly-launched Basra Airlines.

The CRJ-1000 fleet is expected to initially serve domestic routes from Baghdad, complemented by regional services to strategic destinations including Dubai, Beirut, and Amman.

Basra Airlines, which received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in December, is preparing to commence operations in March 2026. Its initial operational focus includes high-demand domestic routes, regional connectivity and charter operations, expanding into scheduled international and dedicated cargo services later in 2026.

Jetcraft is headquartered in London, UK, with administrative offices in Raleigh, North Carolina.
