By John Lee.

Zain Iraq has announced a strategic partnership with 1001, a digital streaming platform operating in Iraq, to provide eligible subscribers with access to entertainment and sports content at no extra cost.

Under the agreement, Zain customers on bundles of IQD 25,000 (approximately USD 19) or more will receive 1001's "FADSHI" package, giving access to a range of content including:

  • Exclusive Iraqi content from 1001 Originals and Al Sharqiya Originals
  • All 380 matches of the Spanish LaLiga season, plus the LaLiga Iraq Studio programme
  • Global content via OSN+, StarzPlay and StarzPlay Sports, covering Serie A, UFC and other events
  • Rotana channels, the Wide.net Arabic film and drama library, and children's content including Iraqi-dubbed animation and Moonbug channels

Zain Iraq's chief executive Emre Gurkan said the partnership reflects the company's strategy of offering integrated digital experiences beyond traditional connectivity.

Mohsen Khairaldin Garcia, Chief Executive of 1001, said the tie-up would give Zain subscribers access to the region's largest licensed streaming library.
