$40.5m-a-Year Hospital Mgt Deal "Renewed" in Najaf

Italian hospital group Gruppo San Donato (GKSD) has reportedly renewed its contract with the Iraqi Ministry of Health to manage the Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Teaching Hospital in Najaf.

According to ANSA, the agreement is valued at $40.5 million per year, and was announced following a meeting between Kamel Ghribi, president of GKSD and vice-president of Gruppo San Donato, and Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi.

The website of GKSD Holding says the facility has 492 beds, 16 operating theatres, 44 intensive care beds and about 3,000 medical and administrative staff.
