Al-Zaidi stressed the importance of continuing banking reform programmes, achieving financial stability, and creating a conducive environment for investment and development. He also called for alignment with global digital transformation trends and the application of international standards in the implementation of monetary policy.

The Prime Minister praised Al-Alaq's contributions during his tenure and announced that he would be appointed as adviser to the Prime Minister on economic affairs.

The incoming governor, accompanied by Al-Alaq, toured the CBI's departments and directorates to familiarise himself with ongoing operations. Nizar Nasser Hussein affirmed his commitment to institutional continuity and to enhancing the CBI's performance in support of financial and monetary stability.
