A meeting has been held to review technical and economic details of two strategic crude oil export pipeline projects: the Basra-Haditha pipeline (extending to Fishkhabur) and the Haditha-Baniyas pipeline.
Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi chaired the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Oil, senior ministry officials, the director of the Prime Minister's office, and representatives of the companies involved in implementing the projects.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, the meeting covered the projects' long-term development impact and expected export volumes through both pipelines. Al-Zaidi directed the Ministry of Oil to provide the necessary conditions and requirements for the implementing companies to ensure completion to the highest standards, and called for work to begin without delay.
Al-Zaidi described the crude oil export pipeline project as of major strategic importance to Iraq, citing its role in diversifying export routes and enhancing export capacity.
