Ford Middle East and North Africa has appointed Shimal Al Jazeera Auto-Trading and Commercial Agencies (SAT) as its distributor partner in Iraq, effective 1 October 2026.
According to a press release from Ford, SAT is a strategic alliance between March Holding, a regional investment group with a diversified portfolio across technology, financial services, digital solutions and e-commerce, and Alayyan Group, an automotive distributor with over 50 years of industry experience. SAT will be responsible for Ford vehicle sales, genuine parts and aftersales services in Iraq.
Current distributor Al Kasid will continue to represent Ford until 30 September 2026, with both parties working together to ensure a smooth transition for customers. Vehicle warranties, service support and parts availability will continue following the handover.
Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East and North Africa, said Iraq is an important long-term market for the brand and that SAT's local capabilities and market understanding would strengthen the Ford customer experience.
Mohamad Alayyan, CEO of SAT, said the company was built with the infrastructure and commitment to deliver the Ford experience that Iraqi customers deserve. Yasin Al-Saati, General Manager of SAT, said the partnership would combine local market knowledge with Ford's global strengths.
