Official Holiday Declared for Iraq's Sovereignty Days

Iraq's Council of Ministers has approved a public holiday to mark the country's "Sovereignty Days" celebrations. Official working hours at state institutions will be suspended from Wednesday 1st October through Saturday 4th October, with work resuming on Sunday 5th October.

The decision was taken at the twentieth ordinary session of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi on Saturday.
