Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi met a group of Iraqi business leaders and investors in Amman, Jordan, to outline government policies aimed at improving the investment climate and attracting domestic and foreign capital.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, al-Zaidi highlighted measures including customs exemptions for development projects, streamlined procedures, and protections for investor rights under Iraq's investment law.
He said early next year would see the groundbreaking for an extension of the Development Road project, which will include the construction of industrial cities, as well as the full commercial opening of Al Faw Grand Port, positioning Iraq as a trade corridor between East and West.
Attendees representing various economic and commercial sectors presented proposals on investment cooperation across multiple industries.
