Turkey and its neighbours, Iraq and Syria, have been in dispute over water for five decades.
Iraq and Syria accuse Turkey of using more water than it should, while Ankara says the other two countries are wasting their share.

Rather superficial analysis on the Turkish side. There are plenty of disagreements over Turkish plans within the country as the turkish government takes away local control of water resources and big hydro projects with larger political purposes displace communities within the country.
