Name: Qalat Salah (also known as Qalat Saleh)
Controlled by: Ministry of Oil (Baghdad).
Location: This block is situated within Maysan Governorate with area of 318 km², according to the Petroluem Contracts and Licensing Directorate (PCLD); on announcement of the results of the licensing round, the Ministry of Oil confirmed that it has an area of 318 square kilometers.
Discovery: One exploration well has been drilled. Initial assessment suggested that the block holds oil accumulations.
Status: The block was offered in the "Fifth-plus" licensing round, May 2024, but no bids were received.
