Iraq expects output at its Nassiriya oilfield to hit 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) in 2014, the head of state-run South Oil Co. (SOC) said on Friday, after the OPEC member decided to develop the field on its own.
Iraq expects crude output from its southern oilfields, Rumaila, Majnoon and West Qurna Phase One, to reach about 2.1 million barrels per day (bpd) by the end of this year, the head of South Oil Company (SOC) said yesterday.
"The delegation of the British company announced that the production of oil from Rumaileh field will increase by about 10% at the end of the year, while the rate will increase to about 50% at the beginning of next year
Companies have until 5 May to prequalify to compete for the rehabilitation and expansion of the existing export facilities and pipelines in the southern oil hub city of Basra, Reuters said.
