A new factory for producing medical cotton and gauze has opened in Mosul city.
"The total cost of the project is around $2.5 million," a source from the factory told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He said that the factory's capacity is 0.5 tons per day.
The source noted that the Iraqi Ministry of Industry funded the project using imported machines and equipment.
