The Basra council decided on Wednesday to increase funds allocated to the al-Tanouma bridge project from 125 million to 500 million Iraqi dinars ($424,000), according to the chairman of the Basra council according to the Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The extra money will be used to overcome difficulties facing the project,” he explained.
“The approved amounts are part of the Basra council’s financial allocations,” he added.
