A small canal in Wassit province has been opened on Monday.
“The total cost of the project is around $2.9 million,” the Iraqi Water Resources Ministry said in a release received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
It noted that the project is part of the Iraqi government’s agricultural initiative.
