The Iraqi port of Umm al-Qasr on Thursday received a merchant ship carrying 16,000 tons of sugar, the public relations and media director at the State Company for Iraqi Ports said.
“The port received a Liberian ship carrying 16,000 tons of sugar,” Anmar al-Safi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The port received also a Panamanian ship carrying 405 containers, a North Korean ship with varied cargo and another ship from Hong Kong with 1300 containers onboard,” he added.
