“(Free trade) is the vehicle by which flows so many other things that are not economic in nature,” he said, expressing views on the role of the private sector in economic development that are in tandem with those of Mr. Bakir.
“We can meet our targets by involving the private sector while at the same time not wasting public resources,” Mr. Bakir said. “Their success will mean our success”.
In developing cross-border business, Hunt said his business aims to be honest and respectful of nations he aims to do business in. “We recognize that we are guests in their country,” he told the gathering.
