Hunt Oil, which describes itself as one of the world’s leading independent energy companies, is privately owned and has oil production operations in the US, Canada, Peru and Yemen. It has exploration projects in Morocco, Oman, Namibia and Senegal, according to the company’s website.
Mergermarket.com reported in September that Hunt’s Canadian subsidiary had hired Scotia Waterous to divest its Canadian assets. Sources said bids for those assets are due in early October
