Iraqi Dinar Revaluation Enthusiasts are Unaware of Bernie Madoff’s Fame

By Tom Cleveland, market analyst for Forex Traders, exclusively for Iraq Business News. Forextraders.com is an online resource for the foreign exchange market.

“Buy on the rumor, sell on the news” is a time-honored investment phrase that is oftentimes more confusing than the wisdom it attempts to impart. The meaning relates primarily to company securities that appreciate in expectation of a big news announcement. Early speculation drives ups the price, such that when the real announcement is made, most investors sell on the news to take their profits, often driving the price down, rather than up. “Pump and Dump” stock frauds also follow a similar scenario, but in this case, criminals benefit and investors lose.

A similar situation has been building for years, some say as many as eight years, surrounding the potential “revaluation” of the Iraqi Dinar. As the rumor would have it, the Iraqi economy has stabilized, and the potential for enormous foreign currency reserves from increased oil exports will drive the value of the Dinar to unconscious levels versus the U.S Dollar. The government authorities will be forced to revalue the currency from 1,175 to 3 per Dollar, resulting in an outrageous windfall for anyone owning stockpiles of the currency. Does something here sound a little too good to be true?

In actuality, the Iraqi Dinar, or “IQD”, is a “controlled” currency. The central bank of Iraq determines the exchange rate and must support that rate by maintaining adequate foreign currency reserves to handle capital flows across its borders. The IMF permits countries with a transitional economy to implement currency controls in order to stabilize their economy during its redevelopment phase. Presently, international banks will not accept the Dinar, and it is not traded on any forex exchange. Actual purchases can be made through currency dealers that have been authorized to buy and sell banknotes that are already in circulation.

So "I don’t hide behind anything, and if your so rich, bring it tough guy, 24-7-365. my faith is bigger and deeper than anything you can possibly buy, obviously my words strike a chord of impairment in your own life, or would play higher stakes mr $$$ boy" is acceptable, but replying to it isn't. Nice.

My boyfriend and I recently got sucked into the Dinar scam. We heard about it from a friend, did some superficial research but not nearly enough! After our purchases - yes I'm embarrassed to admit we made several purchases, at least it was with "extra" money - we discovered the dinar web sites and logged into several of those and started reading. The roller coaster took off immediatley!!! What a ridiculous ride! These "gurus" post misinformation that they say they obtain from "high ranking banking officials" regarding meetings that are taking place regarding this RV. On a daily basis they say they have "good intel" but can't release the details lest they be in trouble. They often go as far as to sling unbelievable cash in rates around. Then, all of a sudden, they say "Oh, it didn't happen tonight but I'm almost certain we're good to go early next week". We compared the claims made by these gurus to actual world and Iraq news and found nothing to back up an RV only being hours away!!! We noticed that on some of the websites these "gurus" post free confernce call playbacks; out of curiosity, my boyfriend and I listened in to several calls on which there were supposedly 40,000 + people listening, on this call the gurus started promoting their members only website, a "fantastic value for only $4.00/month!". Gee, 40,000 people, $4.00/month =$160,000 a month income potential, We didn't join but saw the scam. They also started marketing their text service where for a "one time AFFORDABLE fee" they kept stressing the word affordable yet never mentioned the actual amount of the fee. They also started offering health insurance!!! Is that even legal over a free conference call??? I don't know but all sounded shady and laughable to me. I guess the real laugh is on my boyfriend and I for getting duped. We are holding on to our useless but very pretty pieces of dinar currency with no real hopes of any return.

  23. rich 25th April 2012 at 04:35 #

jennifer believe me i know how you feel and i think i know which sites you are talking about but dont get rid of your dinar this is gonna happen no matter what these loppers say ok and although i know you might think all dinar sites are the same and most are because ive been banned from most of them for criticizing their so called"intel" i know where your coming from but do yourself a favor and try one more site you wont hear its gonna rv every other day they just go strictly off of facts and articles my name on the site is rockinrich and the site is http://www.dinar alerts.webs.com please give it a try i think youll like the people there and it was started last year cause the owner was tired of hearing all the b.s. out there i hope to see you there and even if you dont visit please keep your dinar this is gonna happen take care!

  24. profit120 28th April 2012 at 03:03 #

This revaluation will never happen. It is one of the largest scams ever. The whole world is involved.
If it does happen it won't be anytime soon.
Iraq probably will be involved in civil war before to long and that will be the end of the RV

  25. chasting 28th April 2012 at 16:04 #

Its simple people. If you can afford to buy it, then buy it. If you can afford to "sit on it" for a long term, then do it. If this "scam" or "risky investment" scares you, then stay away from it. If your not invested, dont ridicule those that are. Im optimistic myself. I would have rather tried and fail at this then to had been introduced to it, did nothing, and the dinar increased in value. That would be a hard pill to swallow. Im in it to win it.

  26. rich 28th April 2012 at 17:20 #

yeah profit your showing your intelligence with that statement tell me what scam will buy back my one million dinar for 900 bucks right now if i so choose do some research pal!!

  27. mr.white 28th April 2012 at 17:39 #

I have been in this Iqd now for over a year.
Im sick of the ups and downs and if someone wants to
Buy 0ne million for 900 bucks im saleing some

  28. lz 28th April 2012 at 19:11 #

    Rich,
Lets see....I can buy 1 million dinar for $1080.00 plus postage and handling and I can sell it back for $850.00. Sounds like a terrific investment if you are Dinartrade. After a few years of reading the same old rumors[lies], you can sell it back at a roughly $250.00 loss. They get you coming and going.

  29. lz 28th April 2012 at 19:15 #

Mr White....just dump it and move on with your life. Dont tell people about it so as to not embarrass yourself. Iraq will never RV . If they do anything , they will LOP. I personally feel they will not do anything because of all the free money they receive for selling toilet paper money to suckers like Rich!

  30. rich 28th April 2012 at 20:57 #

mr white if your wanting out i saw on dina daddys site "currency vault says they will buy back uncirculated dinar back for 900 a million so thats up to you just hope you dont kick yourself in the azz when this does happen and lz,if you knew anything about this investment you wouldnt be saying what your saying if your soo disgruntled about the dinar why are you wasting your time posting moron!

  31. mr.white 28th April 2012 at 21:14 #

Them p#r guys really got me going. I see now what they
Are going to do and why they pump it so much.they have a few
100 people that are going to trust them to give them there Iqd
And there going to make a deal whith dinarbanker and get paid.

  32. rich 28th April 2012 at 21:21 #

mr white i know there are alot of pumpers in this investment like those morons at ptr and that in itself gives the investment a scamlike or bad rep but the investment itself will pay off if you want real info and no b.s. check out [advertising removed] ive been there for over a year and a half and you wont get b.s. from them just info from articles and fact based so give it a try

  33. Lz 28th April 2012 at 21:41 #

    Mr White,
Don't listen to Rich, he's in fantasyland. The dinar is a total scam. The pumpers are paid to pump lies and try to con you into buying dinars. Period!
They are snake oil salesman. There is no bottom as to how ow they will stoop to co you out of your money. They even have a pumper posing as a Christian minister to rope in the church goers. I still can't figure out why the FBI hasn't pinche them yet.I personally know people that wasted thousands of dollars on dinars believing pumpers . It ruined their lives.
My advice would be to dump it and move on with your life. Rich will be here rooting for an RV the rest of his life. Don't be a fool like him.
    The dream is dead.

  34. rich 28th April 2012 at 21:52 #

well lz its probably because your friends ought reserves based off the moronic gurus intel and that's their own fauly i dont believe a word those idiots say and im not a pumper you wanna sell sell and mr white dont sell based off what [offensive comment removed] lz says think for yourself

up.The guy at my church that got us in. worked in finance for over 20 years and seems like a pretty educated guy and every sunday he still says it's gonna happen. I just always wonder how come no major news agencies are reporting on it.

  37. rich 28th April 2012 at 23:16 #

mr white i have more than that invested and i know alot of people smarter than me that are way heavily invested in this more than you and i together and as far as people laughing at you believe me you will get the last laugh hang in there and like i said check the site out if you want some real info regarding this investment [advertising removed] i know there are pumpers out there calling the rv every other day i ignore those fools and stay grounded on good info not b.s.

  42. chasting 29th April 2012 at 16:37 #

[advertising removed]. lz, it confuses me when i see folks like you that put this investment down as i cannot understand your angle? It sounds like you are not invested and apparently it is a waste of your time but again it confuses me why you are so concerned with those that are invested? If your not invested thats great! But why ridicule those that are? To put things in perspective, lets say this site was about buying microsoft stock and we were all purchasers of that stock. Its as if your in here ridiculing us for buying the stock. See it really doesnt make sense why you would be so concerned with other peoples money. Lets just all take note that you dont like this investment and that you perhaps think were foolish for doing it. But let me also say that those that are and are well educated and versed in this think that folks like you are foolish for not investing. I am a well grounded intelligent person that has done extensive homework on this investment and with risk also comes reward. I can only assume you have not learned all there is to know about this currency. If you would only do your diiligence i feel your opinion would most certainly change. Whats a couple hundred bucks worth stashed in your sock drawer going to hurt? lz, i invite you to come to [advertising removed] and take a test drive for a week and you just may learn something you never knew. I say to fail is to not try.I also believe in the freedom to choose without ridicule. To each there own. Peace.

  43. Lz 29th April 2012 at 17:00 #

    Chasting.....
I have been invested since 2007. I got some friends and family invested and involved . Now I am embarrassed to see them because I look like a fool for following the liars and dreamers. The numbers prove it will never happen. Our only hope is if Frank 26 can pray to God to RV, which he wrote that God wants iraq to RV. Anytime religion and business coincide.... It's surely a scam. I just want to help prevent others who are in need of a miracle to look elsewhere and don't get suckered into a loosing investment.
Stew posted the stats a thousand times that prove it is impossible and can't happen. Ask any financial advisor and they will laugh at you. It just saddens me to see these scammers ripping suckers off. You have a better shot at lotto.

  44. chasting 29th April 2012 at 17:15 #

lz, could you please provide me with "stew's stats"? with anything I do, I wish to research and see things from all perspectives. I would like to view what he says about this and break it down from there. Always 2 sides to anything. I feel I can challenge some of it and be open minded on other comments. I would certainly appreciate it! I understand getting friends and family invested. I did as well because in the end i just didnt want to be their bank if all comes out well =). It sounds like your still invested. Just let it ride out as you have been in this a long time. No harm in keeping what you have because it does give you that small window of some money in the event it pans out.Just move on to the next opportunity and let this one sit for now. Energy deregulation is HUGE right now for example...companies like AMBIT, etc...lots of wealth there. We just need to keep investing in ALL areas. Always an opportunity out there and thats all the dinar is/was. I spelled out the risks to my folks and let them decide. I never persuaded anyone so if they bought in it was from their own choice. Thanks lz, great commentary btw!Have a good one!

  45. rich 29th April 2012 at 18:07 #

hey mr white im glad you are giving the site a chance!! you will like the people and also kaperoni russell and steve when they have their calls they should send you an email whenever they have the calls and yes i did pay the 7.95 only because of all the time and hard work kaperoni does for us oh and chasting thank you for the backup!!
