Hermes Datacommunications International Limited, a key specialist providing Wide Area Network communications to the upstream oil and gas industry has announced that they have received their trading license for Iraq.
The Hermes Datacomms Iraq branch has been approved by the Republic of Iraq Ministry of Trade. By obtaining this license, Hermes Datacomms further secures its position as one of the ‘big five’ international VSAT service providers in Iraq. However, Hermes Datacomms believe that the nature of their business is moving away from being solely a VSAT provider and rather quickly towards being a fully integrated communications solutions provider.
Kevin Thorley, CEO of Hermes Datacomms Middle East said:
“We see huge growth currently taking place in Iraq and predict that this will continue steadily, if not exceedingly for the next 5 to 10 years. Our mission is to ensure that we are not only effectively established within the region, but also that we are continuously developing and strengthening our own offering to cater for the demands ahead.”
Hermes Datacomms are now working with partners in Iraq to guarantee that they can deliver turnkey projects to the highest standards, involving fibre and last mile access, in addition to VSAT services, fixed, mobile and microwave services.
As the landscape for telecommunications in the oil and gas industry transforms across the globe, Hermes Datacomms are securing their position as a fore runner.
