Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman began her career as a journalist in the UK and abroad before representing the Kurdistan Regional Government in London. Her tenure as High Representative has seen growing ties between the two states, with high-profile trade missions and efforts to forge political and cultural links with institutions in Britain.
Iraqi Kurdistan has benefited from a stable security situation, lending itself to business prosperity. The region is enjoying stronger growth and development than the rest of Iraq, with numerous construction and infrastructure projects.
