Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister with responsibility for energy affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani (pictured), has reportedly said that Baghdad was considering offering foreign oil firms more lucrative contracts.
According to a report from Aswat al-Iraq, he admitted that the recent fourth auction of exploration blocks had not been as successful as officials had hoped.

Good morning Ministerr!! Did you realise this just now or are you scared of the fact that all of the professional IOC's are running away to Kurdistan!! They are leaving because of your failure. You are talking almost 2 years. It is more than enough, just stop talking and start working. You are sitting there to do some good progress with the poor oil contracts not to do politics.. Everyday you are loosing is causing lack of electricity, social services, health care etc. People are poor, jobless, suffering for poor government conditions. Improve these and than you may be re-start your fool talks..
